the most attractive thing

In the movie Up In The Air, George Clooney's character asks the man who just lost his job "Why do we look up to movie stars and athletes?" When the man answers something cheeky, George Clooney quickly rebuttles "No, we look up to them because they follow their dreams."

There is something extremely attractive about people who do what they love. It's almost as if they figured something out that MOST people don't in this life.

When something is rare (and in demand), it holds more value - that's Economics 101!

Statistics show 80-85% of people on this planet say at one time in their life they want to write a book. That number is very similar to the number of people who want to start a business.

Unfortunately, the actual number of people who accomplish these goals is very, very low. Now why is that?

I'm sure there are many reasons to this problem, but I think the main culprit is THEY ALLOW LIFE TO GET IN THE WAY - bills to pay, minor setbacks, shortage of time, lack of focus, self esteem issues, bad environment, finances, health issues, etc.

I get it! Life happens. And there is some things you can't control.

However, from all my years of meeting/working with highly successful entrepreneurs and authors, I've realized they all share a common viewpoint on life: To go far you must not look at it as LIFE HAPPENS TO YOU... but rather YOU HAPPEN TO LIFE.

This philosophy puts you in the driver seat and allows you to say "I don't care what comes my way, I am going after what I want! I will finish that book! I will start that business! I refuse to be sidetracked any longer!"

And the kicker is: The refusal of giving up is downright attractive. By trailblazing your own path, you will be seen, you will be noticed, and you can't be ignored (for long).

The right people will enter your life, whether it's the right clients, business partners, friends, other entrepreneurs, other authors, like-minded people, people who need your advice, people with a common story, people who want to follow in your footsteps, and people who refuse to quit either.

I don't know about you, but that's the exact type of people I want in my life. If you have the victim mindset, then you won't go too far and I don't want to be around people who don't want to better themselves. In fact, most people don't!

So, if you are one of the 85% who want to write a book (and refuse to let life get in the way), I want to hear from you. Maybe I can help.

In the meantime, use the laws of attraction to your advantage. If you want something, let the world know what it is AND make sure it knows that nothing will stop you from getting it.

Why does the world look up to entrepreneurs, writers, and authors?

Simple, it's because they are the rare ones who go after what they want.

Be rare. Happen to life.
